Defect Summary:	THE INVOLVED VEHICLES WERE MODIFIED BY REMOVING TWO REAR SEATS AND INSTALLING TWO FULL SIZE SEATS IN THEIR PLACE. THIS CREATES A CONFLICT WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 217, "SCHOOL BUS EMERGENCY EXIT EXTENSION". THE REQUIRED AMOUNT OF CLEARANCE IS NOT PROVIDED IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLES.
