Consequence Summary:	THIS CONDITION CAN CAUSE THE IGNITION GAS TO IGNITE RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE AND THE INCREASED POTENTIAL FOR OCCUPANT INJURY.
Corrective Summary:	GM HAS MODIFIED THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT VENT AND HAS ALSO INSPECTED THE BATTERY PACKS ON ALL VEHICLES FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF GAS LEAKAGE FROM THE BATTERIES.
