Defect Summary:	ON CERTAIN FIRE TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH HARRISON HYDRA-GEN GENERATOR PUMPS, THE TUBING CONNECTING THE SOFT START TO THE GENERATOR PUMP CAN BREAK AWAY FROM THE FITTING AND SPRAY HYDRAULIC FLUID ONTO THE EXHAUST.
Consequence Summary:	THIS CAN CAUSE A FIRE THAT COULD ENDANGER PEOPLE IN THE VICINITY, THE VEHICLE ITSELF, AND NEARBY PROPERTY.
Corrective Summary:	HARRISON HYDRA-GEN NOTIFIED OWNERS ON JANUARY 15, 2003. DEALERS WILL REMOVE TWO PIECES OF STEEL TUBING AND REPLACE THEM WITH A HIGH PRESSURE HOSE. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITH A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT HARRISON HYDRA-GEN AT 1-800-723-3334 OR AMERICAN LAFRANCE/FREIGHTLINER AT 1-800-385-4357.
